Primary Education

!UNDER CONSTRUCTION – During my PhD classroom trials

Hello all primary teachers!

This area will provide a range of primary resources, which are currently being developed and tested to use within my own PhD practice work with primary-aged children. They are free of charge but ask that you include references to SustFashWales. While I am still trialing my workshops and resources, I will start populating this area very soon (see below). You are permitted to use any of my educational or events resources for free, according to the IMPORTANT USE NOTES, which include no altering of the resources without written permission.

There are both digital (with interactive links) and print versions (for easy printing in A4).

Natural Dyes / Lliwiau Naturiol – Activity Sheet

In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of a bilingual (English and Cymraeg) handout I have been using since 2022, that you can use if you are thinking having a natural dyes workshop. This is an ideal workshop to do at home with family, in the classroom or in the community to learn about natural dyes and mordants with instructions for dyeing with turmeric. I cannot guarantee that hands won’t be like minions!

You can also watch the YouTube video I made during lockdown teaching using berries and onions!

Print Version (no active links)…

REMINDER: You are free to download and/or print (if needed) but must be used within the terms of the IMPORTANT USE NOTES, which include no altering of the resources without written permission.

While this area is still under construction you can in the meantime, feel free to check out the SustFashWales YouTube channel, which has a range of practical “How To…” and informational videos all aimed at secondary children and perhaps even younger groups…
