Conscious Threads
USW Fashion invites you to Conscious Threads – a one-day ethical fashion festival taking place on Wednesday 21 May at The University of South Wales, Cardiff Atrium Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore sustainability, creativity, and innovation in fashion such as exhibitions, talks, workshops, industry fair and panel discussion!

Prosiect Llai – Slow Fashion Event
For the first time, Prosiect Llai is organising an event all about slow fashion will be held at Pontio, Bangor in north Wales on April 12th, when people can learn how to love, mend, or elevate their existing wardrobe— away from the cycle of fast fashion.
During the day there will be workshops, a swap don’t shop event, mending cafe, stalls selling sustainable clothes, a catwalk and a Q&A with Debra and other former Sewing Bee contestants.
Textiles Pop-Up Swap Shop
Black Mountains College present the Textiles Pop-Up Swap Shop! Help them to reduce the textiles going to landfill! Bring along your unwanted clothing or soft furnishings and swap them, item for item free of charge!
If you are unable to exchange items and would like to take an item you are welcome to make a voluntary donation. All monies will go towards funding community short courses. Refreshments will be available to purchase
Reimagined Fashion – Competition
Cancer Research Wales are thrilled to announce they are holding their second sustainable fashion design competition, running from February 1 – March 31 2025
They are challenging you to design a fashion couture outfit using exclusively pre-loved clothing and materials.
