Education Resources

Hello all fellow educators, including those wanting to teach themselves!

As a former D&T Secondary teacher and FE/HE fashion lecturer, I am often told by other educators that they struggle to find appropriate resources to cover sustainable fashion (and design) topics within their own curriculum at KS1-3. This is particularly the case when talking to primary school teachers who need extra support in this area – having to be experts at every subject, where do you find the time to learn yourselves? As I have experience of teaching a wide range of learners and ages from primary (PhD workshops) right up to adult learners I thought I’d share some tried and tested resources.

This area will provide a range of resources which have been used in my own classrooms/workshops over the last 10 years of teaching, and some over the last 15 years of teaching at various schools and community groups/events. You are permitted to use any of my educational or events resources for free, according to the IMPORTANT USE NOTES, which include no altering of the resources without written permission.

NOTE: The main primary (KS1-2) resources are currently being developed to use within my own PhD practice work with primary aged children.

While this education is still under construction you can in the meantime, feel free to check out the SustFashWales YouTube channel, which has a range of practical “How To…” and informational videos all aimed at secondary children and perhaps even younger groups…
